Middleton Shelter:

A Safe Haven, A Fresh Start

In 2023, we relaunched our fully volunteer-run Winter shelter program in Middleton, providing a crucial service for people in crisis. The Middleton Shelter offers immediate, safe refuge for those without a home, with a strong focus on helping guests access the assistance they need through direct referrals to our Care Team. As Kentville becomes a regional destination for the homeless, our emergency shelters in both Kentville and Middleton play a vital role in addressing this growing issue. We encourage guests from outside our region to return to their respective home communities, ensuring our towns do not become catch-all destinations for street-involved individuals from the broader region. Our efforts contribute to crime prevention and maintaining the well-being of our local communities.
